About Me
Twenty-five years ago, after going for a run, I developed back pain and, like many people do, searched online for treatment. A local osteopath’s website came up. I didn’t really know what osteopathy was at the time, but I decided to give it a try.
The improvement I felt after that first appointment genuinely surprised me. I was struck by how much could be achieved through hands-on treatment alone - without medication, painkillers, or complicated equipment. It was a comprehensive, practical approach that made sense to me, and it stayed with me long after the pain had settled.
That experience is what led me to train as an osteopath. What I value most about osteopathy is helping people move more comfortably, reduce pain or stiffness, and feel more confident in their bodies so they can get back to everyday life.
My Training and Background →
I trained at the College of Osteopathy, graduating with a Bachelor of Osteopathy (BOst), First Class Honours. Keeping my knowledge and skills up to date is an important part of my work, and I regularly attend further training to ensure the care I offer is safe, current, and effective.
This includes additional training in areas such as coccyx pain, newer approaches to frozen shoulder, and courses with the Sutherland College of Cranial Osteopathy. Like all osteopaths, I am required to continue learning throughout my career - something I genuinely enjoy.
Before becoming an osteopath, I completed a degree in Biomedical Sciences, followed by qualifying as a teacher. I spent 12 years teaching secondary school Science and A-level Biology. I still enjoy explaining how the body works and how treatment can help, and I always tailor this to suit you - whether you’d like a clear explanation or prefer to keep things simple.
“Elizabeth provides a great mobile Osteopathy service. Very personable, experienced and knowledgeable. Has really helped my husband and I out with back, neck and shoulder issues. Brilliant that she comes to the house .”
