Plantar fasciitis - more than just heel pain

That sharp, stabbing pain under the heel? It’s often plantar fasciitis, a type of RSI (repetitive strain injury) — similar to runner’s knee or carpal tunnel syndrome. It develops when the plantar fascia (the tissue supporting your foot arch) becomes irritated from repeated strain or poor support.

Soft slippers might feel comfy, but if you’re prone to plantar fasciitis they can actually make things worse. Look for a firm sole, good arch support, and a snug fit to reduce strain.

Osteopathic treatment helps by easing tension in the foot, calf, and leg, restoring better alignment and mobility.

Most people notice a clear improvement in pain and movement after just one session — and as I’m a mobile osteopath, that means you can have assessment and treatment right in your own home.
