Sunshine and vitamin D

Less sunshine = less vitamin D!

The NHS recommends taking a daily vitamin D supplement from October to March to look after your bones, muscles, and overall health — because we just don’t get enough in the UK

Some people are particularly at risk of vitamin D deficiency: young people (still growing), older adults (bone density drops and falls are more likely), and anyone who doesn’t get outside much.

You can buy a vitamin D supplement at Boots, Tesco, Aldi… and some people may need it all year round — check the full NHS guidance here https://www.nhs.uk/condit.../vitamins-and-minerals/vitamin-d
